YOGA TO BOOST IMMUNITY
Three classes for the price of one
23, 24, 25 May (Sat, Sun, Mon)
We kick off with Day 1 focussed on upper body. We will cover postures (Asanas) and breathing techniques (Pranayama) that activate the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is part of the immune system that helps in removal of toxins, bacteria and waste. It also triggers the production of antibodies once an antigen (eg. a virus) is recognised by the body.
Day 2 will be focussed on the lower body. We will also incorporate deep diaphragmatic breathing techniques to stimulate the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system known to govern our ‘fight or flight’ response and proven to help in reducing anxiety, followed by meditative techniques known to reduce blood pressure.
On Day 3 we will focus on the full-body strength and flexibility to get your immune system in the best shape possible. We will deepen all the poses learnt in the so far along with the breathing and meditative techniques. After completion of the class, we will be sharing this sequence with you, hoping that you can build this in daily practice to multiply its benefits.
